titanium

turning into
titanium in
Thailand,
I tried
too hard
to forget

brief

you were nothing more
than a lapse of sanity,
a minor spell of madness
a passing whirlwind that
momentarily swept me
completely off my feet

recollection

driving through
yet another
national park,
I couldn’t help
but remember
the unrestrained
wildness that is you

the places you’ve been

I take you with me
everywhere I go –
down the river
up the mountain
through the forest –
you don’t know half of
the places you’ve been

prayer

in this land of
32,000 temples
I’m hoping that
at least one god
will hear my prayer

24/06

Heading for
the hills today,
leaving you behind

(I hope your ghost
doesn’t hitch a ride
with me up this incline)

resilience

chaos, abyss
obscure sorrow

this is what you
bring to me

I fix my feelings
on resilience
