turning into
titanium in
Thailand,
I tried
too hard
to forget
you were nothing
more
than a lapse of
sanity,
a minor spell of madness
a passing whirlwind
that
momentarily swept
me
completely off my
feet
driving through
yet another
national park,
I couldn’t help
but remember
the unrestrained
wildness that is
you
I take you with me
everywhere I go –
down the river
up the mountain
through the forest
–
you don’t know
half of
the places you’ve
been
in this land of
32,000 temples
I’m hoping that
at least one god
will hear my
prayer
Heading for
the hills today,
leaving you behind
(I hope your ghost
doesn’t hitch a
ride
with me up this incline)
chaos, abyss
obscure sorrow
this is what you
bring to me
I fix my feelings
on resilience
